“Learning to sail at Charisma Sailing was an amazing experience that far exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped onto the boat, I knew I was in good hands.

Rob’s approach to teaching is both relaxed and deeply knowledgeable. He doesn’t just throw information at you; he is patient and weaves his extensive experience into every lesson to ensure that you understand the big picture behind every action and maneuver.

What I loved most was how hands-on the course was. Rob gives you the freedom to make mistakes and learn from them in real time. Instead of just memorizing steps, he helped me to learn how to think like a sailor - anticipating wind shifts, adjusting sail trim, and making quick decisions on the water. This not only enhanced my sailing competence but helped me to develop the confidence to know that I will make good decisions when I am captaining my own boat.

For my course, the Miami Yacht Club provided the perfect setting, with a mix of calm waters and just enough challenge to keep things exciting. By the end of the course, I felt truly capable at the helm. If you are looking for a sailing school that prioritizes real-world skills, confidence-building, and an all-around great experience, Charisma Sailing with Captain Rob is the way to go.
